This is a quality assurance contract.

All tenderers must comply with the NSW Government Code of Practice for Procurement.

This contract covers the following services:
* Supply of enclosure including installation of electronic components and wiring within the enclosure; and
* Manufacturing of sign controller.

The School Zone Alert System (SZAS) is designed to alert motorists to the operation of school zones around schools during school zone operating times, with the intention of improving compliance of motorists with the existing school zone regulatory speed limits.

Currently there are more than 1200 school zones covering more than 1300 schools with operational flashing lights warning systems across New South Wales. All systems incorporate back-to base reporting mechanisms to ensure their ongoing reliability.

On 11 June 2013, the New South Wales Government announced an acceleration of the school zone flashing lights program, to ensure every school in NSW has a set of flashing lights by December 2015.

To undertake this, Roads and Maritime Services invites suitably qualified and experienced tenders for the supply of assembled enclosures and manufacturing services for sign controllers.

The confidentiality deed poll can be downloaded from the RFT preview document below.  Completed and signed confidentiality deed poll can be forwarded to the tender liaison officer by email. If everything is in order, the tender liaison officer will forward a passcode to download the tender documents.
