HIA is Australia's largest residential building organisation with over 40,000 members. Members include builders, trade contractors, design professionals, kitchen and bathroom specialists, manufacturers and suppliers. HIA is unique It is the only national industry association for all building professionals, representing the interests of the whole residential building industry from trade contractors, builders and suppliers to product manufacturers.
HIA draws strength from its regional diversity, while cohering all regions as a single unified national association (as distinct from separate autonomous state operations). This approach enables the Association to have a clear sense of purpose.
The purpose of this RFQ is to purchase hardware that can be used by staff members in the field and in the office. HIA have staff which are required to spend a significant amount of time away from the office in order to meet there job requirements.
In these circumstances a staff member can be mobile for a number of hours, and in some cases days, while visiting clients. While some staff have been provided with smart phones and/or laptops, these devices are not meeting the requirements of the organisation
