Expressions of interest are sought for the provision of an Internal Auditor at Yarrawonga Health for a three year period.

About Yarrawonga Health

Yarrawonga Health is a Small Rural Health Service (SRHS) and provides a range of services to an estimated catchment area of 14,000 people. The Acute hospital services include medical/surgical services, low risk obstetric services, lactation and parenting support services, paediatric dialysis and emergency services, 88 Residential Aged Care beds (3 facilities). A wide range of community services are on offer through the Yarrawonga Health Community Services. These include Community Nursing, Allied Health (occupational therapy, physiotherapy, welfare, counselling and housing support and health Education and Promotion.

The Role:

* Prepare quarterly reports for the Audit and Risk Committee.
* Review the annual internal audit plan to ensure highest risk areas are covered.
* Perform a high quality, risk-focused assurance work to satisfy the requirements of the Stranding Directions of the    Minister of Finance under the Financial Management Act.
* Reviews system, operation and adequacy of controls.
* Evaluate the extent of compliance with established policies and procedures and the accuracy of management information.
* Identify and advise Yarrawonga Health on process improvement opportunities.

Skills and Experience:

* Professional accounting, finance, risk and/or internal audit qualifications.
* Charters Accounts/Certified Practicing Accountant.
* Experience in external or internal auditing particularly with a strong preference for healthcare experience.
