Tender Description
Council is seeking tenders from suitably qualified and experienced Tenderers for T16-15 Tender for Chapel Rd South Drainage and Concrete works only.
This Tender shall be for two separable portions being;
* Separable Portion 1 from Irvine St to Edward St,
* Separable Portion 2 from house 20 Chapel Rd to house 58A Chapel Rd.
One contractor to undertake the two separable portions or part of.
Works will generally include but are not limited to:
Separable Portion 1
* The demolition and Installation of new kerb & gutter,
* Minor stormwater drainage,
* Reconstruction of vehicle crossings,
* Reconstruction of kerb ramps and footpath slabs,
* Supply and installation of new frames & grates for stormwater pits.
Separable Portion 2
* Demolition and reconstruction of existing stormwater pits,
* Installation of an extended stormwater pit into the carriage way,
* Installation & connection of new concrete stormwater pipes,
* New frames & grates.
The site is located in a residential area and the work involves closure of lanes whilst laying the drainage pipes and reconstruction of kerb and gutter lines. A Road Occupancy Licence is required for the road closure from the Roads and Maritime Services (RMS) (formerly RTA). Due to the large volume of traffic during peak hours, the RMS is likely to restrict the hours of road closure during the day. Night work may be permissible provided that jack hammering and other high noise generating works are not performed after 11pm.
