The Queensland Government Blueprint for better healthcare in Queensland indicates the Queensland Government’s willingness to explore opportunities for alternative service delivery models to improve value for money including outsourcing, co sourcing and partnership arrangements. In accordance with the Blueprint, CQHHS has identified the need to assess options for radiation oncology service delivery that provides safe, efficient, accessible and quality health care to CQHHS patients.

CQHHS is now undertaking an expression of interest (EOI) process for the provision of all radiation oncology services including purchase of linear accelerators, commissioning of software and equipment, providing a 7 day radiation oncology service, and outreach services that include consultations and follow up appointments at Gladstone, Emerald and Biloela.

The information sourced from this EOI may be used to inform the future procurement strategy for radiation oncology services in and for CQHHS.
