The Essential renewal works currently being considered may include, but not limited to, the following:

* Upgrade of backbone electrical reticulation infrastructure within the airfield including primary (55 km), secondary (20 km) and communication (12.6 km) cabling in a pit and duct network including approximately 3 km of boring under existing pavements,
* Upgrade of the 270 km primary and 65 km secondary cables within the new and existing electrical reticulation infrastructure and in the pavement surface,
* Supply and install Airfield Ground Lighting (AGL) taxiway fittings to upgrade existing and installation of new infill fittings including approximately 78 taxiway lights, and
* Installation of Owner supplied transmissometer equipment to automate the measurement of Runway Visual Range (RVR).

The Non-essential optional works currently being considered may include, but not limited to, the following:

* Supply and install of approximately 1280 additional taxiway centreline lights for designated taxiways to provide spacing of 15m on straight sections and 7.5m on curves and 209 stop bars lights at 24 stop bar locations,
* Supply and install 229 runway centreline lights at 15m spacing, 90 Runway Touchdown Zone Lights (RTZ) and upgrade 7 Runway End Lights (REL) to 6m spacing,
* Replace High Intensity Approach Lighting (HIAL) which includes 21 strobe lights and 218 HIALs,
* Construction of three new Airport Lighting Equipment Rooms (ALERs),
* Design, modify and upgrade lighting control systems, and
* Maintenance of the whole system over a mid-term period to be defined.
