As one of the primary indicators of mental health patients' treatment reaching a successful outcome, is to see them relocate into self-contained accommodation within the Rockhampton Community Care Unit (CCU). This will also enable them to undertake periods of short to long-term release into the community. Cohabitation with fellow patients, while receiving support from on-site clinical specialists, aims to facilitate an individual's recovery from mental illness by providing opportunities that maximise their strengths and potential.

As a result, Central Queensland Hospital and Health Service is now seeking expressions of interest to gain a more detailed understanding of the options for delivery available in the market for clinical, non-clinical support services and facilities management within the context of managing a 20 bed CCU.
