Tender Description
The NSW Government recognises that there is considerable scope for improving how the public sector invests in and uses ICT to deliver services to the people of NSW. The NSW Government ICT Strategy 2012 details a shift to a service orientation for ICT, which will drive better service delivery outcomes and deliver better value from the annual public ICT investment.
In order to reduce duplication and promote a cohesive, sector-wide approach to ICT, agencies will increasingly share information, work with the community and industry and provide services to citizens using cost effective technology solutions.
The ICT Strategy 2012 positions NSW to take full advantage of opportunities for improved service delivery, improved productivity and the most efficient and effective investment presented by ICT.
This is one of three processes to trial a new concept of defining ICT services that are delivered ‘as a Service’ against a NSW Government Standard. Suppliers who are registered on the appropriate sub-category(s) of the ICT Service Scheme are being asked to respond to this IT Service Catalogue Trial Proposal (OEP).
The NSW Office of Finance and Services (OFS), as the coordinator of the NSW Government’s ICT reform strategy, is responsible for the OEP process.
