Tender Description
This tender is for the procurement of a provider to operate the Gambling Helpline NSW (GHL) on behalf of the Office of Liquor, Gaming and Racing (OLGR). The GHL is to provide contact centre services including the provision of information, counselling and referral via telephone, email and SMS channels. In addition the GHL will support associated Gamblers Help activities including the Counsellor Sam Blog, online forums and social media activities on Facebook and Twitter.
The aim of the service is to assist problem gamblers, their families and concerned others to initiate changes to their gambling behaviour, or the gambling behaviour of others and related problems. The service provides an entry point and first contact service for face-to-face Gambling Help counselling services in a seamless and integrated manner. It is also a legitimate source of problem gambling treatment.
It is to be an inclusive, accessible service to all residents of NSW including people from non-English speaking backgrounds and Aboriginals and Torres Strait Islanders.
This service will work closely with other Gambling Help Services to provide an integrated model of service delivery for problem gamblers, their families and concerned others in NSW.
Outbound calls will include follow up calls to target group callers who wish to receive further telephone counselling and planned telephone counselling.
The term of the Contract is two years (1 July 2015 – 30 June 2017), which may be extended by three one year periods. Any such extension shall be solely at the discretion of the Department.
