Chevron Australia is seeking an experienced Contractor with necessary capability, capacity and a demonstrated track-record to provide Scrap Metal Services (dismantling and removal).
Barrow Island is an A class nature reserve off the north west coast of Western Australia. As operator of the Barrow Island Joint Venture (BWI JV), Chevron Australia Pty Ltd (Chevron Australia) is committed to the progressive rehabilitation and closure of legacy sites within the WA Oil operations at Barrow Island (BWI). This package includes the progressive decommissioning (dismantling and removal) of redundant scrap metal (predominantly steel and copper) infrastructure, including:
* Redundant facilities, as well as redundant components of facilities that are still in operation including but not limited to tanks (<500 bbls), manifolds, pipe supports, etc;
* Carbon steel flowlines and services (approximately 8,000 tonne) that are no longer required for site operations or have been replaced. The flowlines are typically either 2”, 3” and 4” carbon steel; and
* 1000 volt cable (approximately 100 km) from the power distribution network.
The scope of work to include:
* Removal and disposal/recycling (all pipework/facilities will be flushed, cleaned and air gapped before being handed over for this scope of work. Where the removal of fluid is not possible prior to removal, this fluid will need to be collected and transported for disposal through the Chevron on Island facilities);
* Provision of equipment for scrap removal including but not limited to trucks, bins, cutting equipment; and
* Optional – provision of scrap metal transport to the mainland, including meeting all quarantine requirements.
All work to be completed in accordance with all Chevron Barrow Island safety and environmental policies and regulatory requirements.
