Karratha Health Campus - Opportunity for Co-Located Health Related Services
Tender ID: 233149
Tender Details
Tender Description
The $207 million, 40-bed Karratha Health Campus is the single biggest investment in a public hospital ever undertaken in regional Western Australia.
Due to open in 2018, it will have a significantly expanded emergency department, a state-of-the-art CT scanner, a brand new surgical centre, new delivery suites and maternity wing, new and expanded outpatients and essential services such as child health and medical imaging, all under one roof.
The State intends constructing the new Campus on a site located in the City of Karratha in the Pilbara region of Western Australia. It is currently anticipated that the Campus will occupy approximately 4ha of the 5.5ha site.
The State may elect to make some or all of the surplus land, immediately adjacent to the public health facilities to be operated by the State, available to private or non-government providers of health related services or for other services of use to Campus patients, visitors, staff and community.
To the extent the State elected to make land available, the State's contribution would likely be limited to the provision of land by way of lease. Proponents would be required to finance, design, construct and operate their own facilities.
Private and non-governmental organisations are invited to participate in a market sounding process intended to gauge interest in providing health related services, or other services that align to the operations of the proposed new Campus.
The market sounding process would involve answering approximately 10 questions contained within a Memorandum of Information (MoI), with possible follow up interviews.
