RMS proposes to appoint one or more suppliers to fulfil both maintenance and service of rest areas and roadside toilets at various locations along Pacific Highway for the next 3 years with option to extend for 2 more years.

There are total over 40 rest areas along the corridor to be included in this project, with possibility of increasing due to highway upgrade during contract period.

The works under this contract comprise of:
* Clean and sanitise rest areas and rest area facilities such as table, chair, BBQ area etc.
* Supply and apply odour control products on regular basis,
* Removal and disposal of rubbish collected from bins,
* Clean and sanitise of roadside toilets including toilet pan & seat, floor, hand basin, taps, wall, mirror etc.
* Supply and replenish toilet rolls / papers, hand wash liquid soap, replacement of light globes / fluorescent tubes (if any),
* Empty and disposal of sharp containers containing sharp objects such as used needles, razors etc.
* Litter pick up, ground vegetation control (mowing), herbicide spraying & landscape maintenance within the rest areas,
* All flammable material within 5m to fireplaces, BBQ areas, tables, structures etc. must be removed and disposed at appropriate facility.
* Vermin and insects control (when present and/or twice a year),
* Removal of graffiti or posters within the rest area,
* Remove debris from roof gutter,
* Clean play equipment in play ground (if any),
* Clean signs around rest area,
* Inspect, maintain, service, empty and dispose of effluents and solids to various underground composting and aeration systems,
* Fill water tank with potable water and/or recycled water (depending on the requirements as specified for individual tank),
* Inspection and report defects to RMS.

All Tenderers must comply with the NSW Government Code of Practice for Procurement and must be an acceptable legal entity.

Attendance is mandatory to submit a conforming tender. A pre-tender meeting is scheduled to be held at 1:30pm on Friday, 14th August 2015 at the SES building, 9 Central Road, Port Macquarie NSW 2444.
