Tender Description
This Scope describes the works to be undertaken as part of the Dam Safety Improvement Project Stage 2 at Paradise Dam. The works include strengthen of monolith D and K and other ancillary works.
Paradise Dam is situated approximately 20 kms north-west of Biggenden and 80 kms south-west of Bundaberg on the Burnett River at AMTD 131.4 km. The maximum height of the structure is 52 m with the primary construction material being roller compacted concrete (RCC). The dam creates a 45 km long narrow reservoir, with a surface area of 3,000 ha and a storage volume of 300,000 ML.
The Scope of Works includes the following:
* Strengthen of the Toe at Monoliths D and K;
* Repairs to the concrete on the Left Bank Spillway Training Wall;
* Supply and Installation of Baulk between Dam Crest and Intake Tower Stairs;
* Construction of a suitable access crossing downstream of the dam;
* Protection of the left bank (Provision Item)
