The Australian Institute for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Studies [AIATSIS] currently maintains a 340TB data storage facility containing mostly very large data files of digitised collection objects.

AIATSIS is seeking to explore available solutions that would ensure the continued provision of a high capacity, resilient data storage system with a starting capacity of approximately 500tb, and the extensibility to provide enhancements such as private/hybrid cloud or remote access portal capability.

Interested parties should register their interest via our email and attend a supplier meeting at AIATSIS on January 21st at 2pm.

Suppliers are encouraged to visit the Institute’s facility in Canberra to familiarise themselves with the scope of the desired solution[s].

Should one or more appropriate solution/s be identified, a further procurement process will be initiated through a request for tender, limited to selected respondents of this RFI. Responses may be provided either electronically or on paper. All responses are due at one of the following addresses by 5.00pm on March 4th 2016.
