The Urban Passenger Electrified Rail System in the Metropolitan area including the Armadale to Mundijong and Fremantle to Robbs Jetty sections form the Public Transport Authority’s (PTA’s) electrified railway network.

This Contract is for the provision of ultrasonic testing of rail within the urban rail network.

It is the responsibility of the Contractor to detect and size rail discontinuities as well as know (and report) the limitations of its operators and testing system. Technical aspects of this testing should be based on the relevant Australian Standards.

It is the responsibility of the Contractor to analyse the defect information collected in accordance with the sentencing criteria provided by the PTA.
