Tender Description

1.1 Background
The Department of Sport and Recreation (DSR) since 1999 has been recognising the significant contribution that coaches and officials make to the sport and recreation industry in Western Australia by staging a reward and recognition event, the Sports Industry Coaches and Officials Awards Dinner. The event is attended by approximately 250 coaches and officials from across a variety of sports. The event provides an opportunity for State Sporting Associations to nominate their Coach and Official of the Year who will be formally recognised on the night or morning. The event is planned (preferred) for Friday, 20 May 2016 for dinner or Sunday, 22 May 2016 for breakfast.

The Awards event provides the following benefits:
* Opportunity for State Sporting Associations to publically acknowledge and reward Western Australian coaches and officials for their contribution;
* Opportunity for the DSR to recognise, reward coaches and officials amongst their peers and showcase their contribution to the sport and recreation industry;
* Ability to bring these two groups together to showcase their efforts and to network together.

Through this request the DSR is seeking the services of a suitable Respondent capable of providing a suitable venue within the Perth metropolitan area for the hosting of the 2016 Sports Industry Coaches and Officials Awards Dinner or Breakfast. The event would need to meet the following requirements but is not limited to:

Option1 - Dinner:
* Venue capable of seating for up to 250 - 300 people in a formal dinner style;
* Access to foyer for pre-dinner drinks;
* Stage Capability (minimum 8m x 4m);
* Catering (three course menu with canapés);
* Beverage ( 4 hour package); and
* Audio Visual Requirements (PowerPoint, data projector, sound and visual).

Option2 - Breakfast:
* Venue capable of seating for up to 250 - 300 people in a formal breakfast style;
* Stage Capability (minimum 8m x 4m);
* Catering breakfast menu;
* Beverage package suitable for breakfast; and
* Audio Visual Requirements (PowerPoint, data projector, sound and visual).
