The Ganzer and Ganzer-Morris Road realignments & Gowrie Junction Road upgrade is part of the local road network within the Toowoomba Second Range Crossing project (known as TSRC).

The Ganzer Rd realignment will consist of approximately 1.2km of new road and shall include but not be limited to the following:
* Traffic management (including provisions for side tracks)
* PUP relocation and protection
* Stormwater Drainage
* Excavation (approximate quantity 26,000m3)
* Embankment Fill (approximate quantity 37,000m3)
* Road Pavement and Surfacing (approximate quantity 12,000m2)
* Road Furniture and Landscaping

The Ganzer-Morris Rd realignment will consist of approximately 900m of new road and shall include but not be limited to the following:
* Traffic management (including provisions for side tracks)
* PUP relocation and protection
* Stormwater Drainage
* Excavation (approximate quantity 45,000m3)
* Embankment Fill (approximate quantity 30,000m3)
* Road Pavement and Surfacing (approximate quantity 9,000m2)
* Road Furniture and Landscaping

The Gowrie Junction Rd upgrade will include construction of a designated turning lane into the new Ganzer Rd intersection and shall include but not be limited to the following:
* Traffic management (including provisions for side tracks)
* PUP relocation and protection
* Stormwater Drainage
* Minor earthworks (approximately 3,000m3)
* Road Pavement and Surfacing (approximate quantity 4,500m2)
* Road Furniture and Landscaping

Works on all 3 x roads will need to occur simultaneously due to the traffic staging requirements.

Preliminary works to facilitate construction of these local roads may also include minor works on the main tollroad alignment, generally between Boundary Street and Gowrie Junction Road. These works may include topsoil strip, foundation preparation works, excavation of material to be used in the local roads embankment, and placement of excess material from the local road excavation within the embankment of the Tollroad.

The Works are programmed to commence August 2016.
