New building construction - Queensland University of Technology, Kelvin Grove, Brisbane As one of Australias premier education and learning facilities, QUT Brisbane is undertaking the development of a new six story specialized teaching and learning, administration and office building at their Kelvin Grove campus.

Design Development is complete and contract documentation is progressing. Consequently, Expressions of Interest are sought from suitably experience construction firms to undertake this project.

The project, with a construction budget in the order of $50 to $55 million, consists of new construction and fit- out, external works to pedrestian-ise the existing ring road and associated services.

The works will require the integration of building services into existing precinct services infrastructure within an operating campus environment.

It is intended to award the contract in early August 2016, which will be of a fixed cost and time. The project is to be completed in readiness for the commencement of Semester 1 in 2018.

Submissions will be required to demonstrate relevant experience in projects with a particular emphasis on university related works, 5 star Greenstar (as built) projects, capacity and resourcing of project team members and methodology for the delivery of the project.

Details of experience in new works are essential and details of referees (minimum of three) are required to support this.

Additionally, a demonstrated ability to meet time deadlines will be one of the key assessment criteria. Firms will be shortlisted for invitation to tender on the strengths of their submissions.
