On 31 March 2015, Leighton Contractors services business and Thiess services business joined together to form a new standalone Company, Ventia Pty Limited. This makes us one of Australia's largest services businesses, providing a comprehensive range of operational maintenance, design and construction, remediation, and asset and facilities management services to clients and customers across the resources, telecommunications, transport, energy, water, health and industrial sectors. Ventia Pty Ltd (Ventia) is the appointed Integrated Service Provider, by Main Roods Western Australia (MRWA), for upgrading and maintaining the rood network in the Pilbara Region of Western Australia.

MRWA and Ventia have formed an integrated services arrangement known as the Pilbara ISA to undertake these works and services.

The pavement & surfacing package of work is expected to be carried out during the 2016/2017 financial year with the option from MRWA to extend to the 2017/2018 financial year.

The package of work consists of the following:
1. Pavement Repair
* Pavement repair works estimated to be 37,000m2
* The scope of works includes all aspects of pavement repairs and will be provided by a full service Sub-contractor
* To be completed by October 2016
* Option for MRWA to extend to the 2017/2018 financial year

2. Primer Seals and Minor Seals
* Primer Seal works estimated to be 41,000m2 to pavement repairs
* Minor Seal works estimated to be 21,000m2 to be completed by end of October 2016
* The scope of works includes all aspects of primer seals and minor seals and will be provided by a full service Sub-contractor
* The scope of works includes all re-instatement of line marking
* Option for MRWA to extend to the 2017/2018 financial year
