Tender Description
This scope of works is for the paver placement and compaction of Plant Mixed Foam Bitumen and Unbound pavement layers within the East, Central and Western Sections of the project. This scope will include the establishment, operation and maintenance of all plant and equipment including but not limited to:
Purpose built pavers capable of paving 6.5m wide and 250mm thick (compacted) in a single run.
Rollers capable of compacting unbound and stabilised pavement materials in compacted layers ranging from 100mm to 250mm in thickness to a standard compaction value minimum to 102%.
Foam Bitumen Pavement (250mm total thickness)
The approximate area of Foam Bitumen Pavement dependent upon final design is:
* EAST CH 0.0 CH 16620 230,000m2
* CENTRAL CH 17430 CH 28200 190,000m2
Unbound Granular Pavement (Approximately- 320mm total thickness)
The approximate area of Unbound Pavement dependent upon final design is:
* WEST CH 28200 CH43010 197,000m2
The scope includes the placement and compaction of Foam Bitumen and Unbound Pavement materials in accordance with TMR Technical specifications namely but not limited to:
* MRTS05 Unbound Pavements
* MRTS09 Plant Mixed Foam Bitumen Pavements
It is anticipated the works will commence August 2017 / Jan 2018.
This works package may be managed as two or more separable portions/packages which may be let to one or multiple subcontractors.
