The Victorian Building Authority invites Tender submissions from suitably qualified respondents for the foramtion of a panel to understake complaint investigations, including the collation of evidence to support the regulatory and disciplinary process. 

The VBA issues this Request for Tender (RFT) to the public to seek submissions from interested parties to provide investigation services to the VBA.

The VBA is seeking to engage a panel of external investigation service providers for a period of two years (with an option of one further term of 2 years exercisable by the VBA in its absolute discretion) to assist in the provision of investigation services on behalf of the VBA. The Panel structure is intended to provide the VBA with access to suitably qualified and experienced professionals capable of undertaking investigative services on behalf of the VBA

The investigations function is a key component of the VBA’s responsibilities. The VBA is a contact point for consumers and practitioners. It is also responsible for ensuring all building and plumbing practitioners in Victoria comply with relevant Acts and Regulations, which involves initiating disciplinary inquiries or prosecutions against practitioners who have failed to comply with relevant Acts or Regulations.
This RFT represents an exciting opportunity for experienced investigators with industry knowledge, who wish to make a positive difference in the building and plumbing industries to be on the forefront of regulatory compliance, advancement and reform.

Applicants with demonstrated investigative experience gained either in the public, private or legal sectors are encouraged to apply for this opportunity. Although not essential for the role, knowledge of, or qualifications in, the building or plumbing industry are highly desirable and will be viewed favourably.
