Invitation To Tender No. 38/2016 Levee Remediation Works., Peter Parade, Old Toongabbie.

Tenders are invited from suitably experienced civil engineering contractors to undertake repair and remediation work on an existing levee adjacent to Toongabbie Creek, Old Toongabbie. The levee is located on the southern side of Toongabbie Creek on Peter Parade near its intersection with Chircan Street.

The works generally include:
* Locating and protection of all authority services including the Northern Suburbs Ocean Outfall Sewer (NSOOS) 1800mm dia, Integral Energy power poles, smaller connecting sewer lines, watermains and communication assets.
* Temporary access, Excavation of failed section, Temporary works to provide a safe construction area and Coordination of works so as not to increase the risk of further failure should a flood event occur during the construction period.
* Approx. 75ea x 900mm dia Reinforced Concrete Piles
* Approx. 108m long reinforced concrete Pile Cap and Retaining Wall
* Reinstatement and extension of blocked stormwater lines
* Placement of Reno Mattresses and Rip Rap
* Placement and compaction of fill to design levels.
* Repair and reinstatement of the existing block work retaining wall, footpath and pedestrian safety fence.
* Compliance with the requirements of the REF.

A final decision will be made regarding this Tender towards the end of December 2016, with works anticipated to commence early 2017.
