The MPB team are seeking a new plot harvester to replace their existing machine which is nearing the end of its useful life.

TThe Molecular Plant Breeding (MPB) program, within DEDJTR’s Biosciences Research branch is seeking to purchase a Plot harvester for the Molecular Plant Breeding Program, Horsham. The new plot harvester should have additional capabilities and features, such as high quality on-board sampling and weighing, which will enable the MPB team to continue their field-based research with increased efficiency and accuracy. Associated harvest software and hardware is also required to record plot weights and print labels.

A comprehensive service and maintenance plan is required to maintain the new harvester in good working order. Sufficient training will also be required to ensure staff can efficiently and safely operate the harvester.

Importantly, a suitable plot harvester must meet relevant Australian Standards for safety, must be able to withstand Australian conditions including prolonged periods of extreme heat and excessive dust, and feature a fully enclosed, 2 person, air-conditioned cabin.
