Expressions of Interest are invited from suitably qualified suppliers for the design, installation, commissioning, monitoring and maintenance of 12 photovoltaic solar arrays at sites in Western Downs Regional Council.

There are three (3) sites in Dalby, two (2) sites in Tara, four (4) sites in Chinchilla and three (3) sites in Miles.

Council is interested in innovative and cost effective solutions in lowering its electricity costs and welcomes input from prospective tenderers in achieving this.

Provision of infrastructure to enable retrofitted battery storage capabilities is a desired outcome for Council. From interest received, a `select' tender group will be advised by the Project Managers, Brandon & Associates (Consulting Engineers) to receive tender documents.

The pre-tender, and subsequent tender, selection process is to be based on relevant experience with: design, installation, commissioning, monitoring and maintenance of photovoltaic solar arrays for commercial premises.

Experience with rural working conditions, safety management system implementation, proven resources and capabilities to achieve nominated time frames for works, experience of onsite supervisors and attitude to quality of work/attention to detail/warranties & guarantees of workmanship.

Council may apply weightings to the above criteria at their discretion.

During the subsequent tender selection process Council is not bound to accept the lowest tender.

Tender Documents will be made available mid November 2016 with tender period expected to close mid December 2016.

Installation is anticipated to commence in February 2017 with practical completion by mid May 2017.
