The introduction of the Mining Rehabilitation Fund (MRF) provides a dedicated course of funding to address abandoned mines in Western Australia. The Department of Mines and Petroleum (DMP) has accessed MRF interest to undertake rehabilitation activities at the Pro-Force site near Coolgardie.

DMP is proposing to engage a suitably qualified and experienced contractor to remove a number of large tyres from the Pro-Force Plant Site near Coolgardie, and dispose of the material at a suitable refuse facility. This work will be done in Q4 2016 and will require an appropriate carrier licence to transport tyres to an appropriately licenced disposal facility.

DMP is seeking Expressions of Interest from stakeholders who may be interested in providing quotes to undertake this work.
