Tender Description
A unique mew music performance and teaching building is to be constructed in southbank between May 2017 and October 2018, for the Faculty of the Victorian Collage of Arts and Melbourne Conservatorium of Music, University of Melbourne.
The building will contain performance studios, teaching and rehearsal studios, electronic and recording studios and will be targeting 5 star Green star rating. All spaces have been designed to achieve specific acoustic ratings.
The estimated budget of this project is $80-90M.
Highly competent contractors capable of undertaking this project are invited to register their interest. TO be eligible for consideration, registrants must be accredited under the Australian Government Building and Constructions OH&S Accreditation Scheme.
When registering such interest contractors should submit the following information as a PDF (to print on a maximum of 30 sides of A4, in a minimum of 10 point Arial font):
* Company Profile - company profile of registrant or JV partners;
* Recent relevant experience of music/performance/teaching buildings;
* Key personnel - detailed of their experience and proposed roles;
* Proposed subcontractors - details of proposed subcontractors;
* Financial - demonstrating a capacity to undertake a project of this size;
* Availability and timing - ability to adequate resource the work during the specified period;
* Insurances - certificate of currency and relevant policy details;
* Health, Safety & Environmental performance - statements as to current practice and previous performance;
* Evidence of accreditation under the Australian Government Building and Construction OH&S Accreditation Scheme;
* Evidence of certificate to ISO 14001 for environmental management;
* Evidence of compliance with the National Code of Practice for the Building and Construction Industry;
* QA accreditation - details of QA accreditation;
* Referees- nominated referees who may comment on recent performance.
