Port Nelson Limited (PNL) together with the Ministry for the Environment (MfE) invite Registrations of Interest from suitably qualified and experienced specialist contractors to complete the site remediation of the Calwell Slipway Basin, in Nelson.

This engagement is to undertake the dredging and stabilisation of approximately 42 000m3 of contaminated marine sediment by adding cement and activated carbon to create mudcrete to defined specifications. The mudcrete will be utilised for the construction of a 5000m2 reclamation adjacent to the dredging site. Additionally there is approximately 13 400m3 of uncontaminated sediment to be dredged and disposed of to an approved spoil ground at sea.
