Tender Description
Council is seeking tenders from suitably qualified and experienced Tenderers for T38-17 Chapel Road South Rehabilitation & Footpath Reconstruction.
Scope of works generally includes demolition and reconstruction of kerb and gutter sections, concrete and asphalt footpath, vehicular crossings, kerb ramps, bus stop, and minor stormwater drainage,
Works also include reconstruction of traffic islands, installation of tree beds, garden beds, garden wall and minor landscaping as well as removal of trees and relocate signage between Macauley Avenue and Cambridge Avenue - Bankstown.
The site is located in a residential area and the work involves closure of lanes whilst reconstructing kerb and gutter on either side of the road. Road Occupancy Licence is required for the road closure from Roads and Maritime Services RMS.
Due to the large volume of traffic during peak hours, RMS is likely to restrict the hours of road closure during the day. Night work may be permissible provided that jack hammering and other high noise generating works are not performed during late hours of night.
Tenderers while submitting their tenders must make emphasis on the construction program and work methodology and clearly identify the stages to perform the work in restricted hours so that there is less impact on the traffic flow as well as noise level is kept to a minimum. Full road closure is not permitted unless otherwise directed by the Superintendent and permitted by RMS.
