Tender Description
This scope of works is for the construction of shoulder pavements and verge on the main alignment and associated entry and exit ramps on Toowoomba Second Range Crossing.
This works package will include the placement, compaction and trimming shoulder pavement and verge using Head Contractor Supplied unbound pavement material and general fill material respectively.
The subcontractor must be capable of constructing pavement materials in accordance with all requirements stated in MRTS05 using purpose built shoulder paving equipment.
Shoulder Pavement (Approximately 350mm total thickness, nominal 2.0m width).
The approximate volumes of shoulder pavement dependent upon final design is:
East CH 0.0 CH 16620 45,000m3
Central CH 17430 CH 28200 40,000m3
Verge (Approximately 350mm total thickness with batters up to 1:2)
The approximate area of verge dependent upon final design is:
East CH 0.0 CH 16620 15,000m3
Central CH 17430 CH 28200 20,000m3
The scope includes the placement and compaction Shoulder and Verge materials in accordance with TMR Technical specifications namely but not limited to:
MRTS04 General Earthworks
MRTS05 Unbound Pavements
It is anticipated the works will commence August 2017 through to March 2018.
This works package may be managed as one or more separable portions/packages which may be let to one or multiple subcontractors.
