H1705 - The existing ambulance ramp at Cunnamulla Hospital does not conform to AS1428 due to its incline being too steep. The ramp is a suspended slab hinged on the high end. It is required that the ramp be lifted at the low end until a slope of 1:14 or less is achieved (Aproximately 130mm lift.

A concrete packer then needs to be installed under the lower end to maintain it in this prosition. The lower end of the ramp will now be higher than the natural ground level needing a concrete extention to transition it to ground level at the prescribed slope.

This will extend the end of the ramp beyond where it currently is and will require a footpath to be deviated and the structural steel roof cover to be extended. Finally the existing bitumen road will have to be shaped to tie into the new landing.
