The Emerald Tourist Railway Board (ETRB) is the owner, manager and operator of the Puffing Billy Railway. Central to the ETRB strategy is the construction of a world standard Discovery Centre in the Emerald Park Lake (Lakeside) precinct. This will provide an all-weather venue, featuring the amenities and visitor experiences necessary to sustainably meet the needs and expectations of the growing tourist sector.

The ETRB wishes to engage a design and project architect team through a competitive procurement process to design and work collaboratively throughout the phases of the project to completion.

The procurement process will be two-stage:
a) An initial EOI and short listing of prospects
b) Preparation and presentation of design concepts from the short listed parties to an evaluation panel

A Project Architect shall be selected from the short listed design teams.

This EOI represents the first stage of that process.
