GOLCOD2017229RFP1 - The main role of the LOG FA in the disposal process is to manage the operational aspects of asset disposal including arranging for and finalising sale/auction activities.

Where possible, assets which have a perceived high value will have a disposal route identified prior to GC2018. Advice from the Supplier regarding these assets will be sought. Any assets which do not have a disposal route identified prior to GC2018 will either be the subject of auction or donation/waste depending on the value that can be realised after taking into account costs.

The precise quantities of assets for auction will not be known until after the Games are complete.

Identification of an auction house able to provide a range of services is required for GOLDOC to undertake disposal of assets.

Asset Locations
GOLDOC assets will be located across multiple venues and the Commonwealth Games Village (CGV). A Central Logistics warehouse (CLW) is located at Redbank near Ipswich.

It is likely that assets identified for disposal by auction will be transferred direct from venue on the completion of the Games to a facility either operated by the Supplier or to the CLW. In most cases, this transfer will be carried out by GOLDOC.

Conducting an onsite auction at a GC2018 venue is not envisioned but may be used under specific circumstances.

Auction house services are not required for Townsville and Cairns venues.
