Energy Queensland is calling for Expressions of Interest (EOI) from suitably qualified Suppliers for the supply and installation of vehicle axle weighing scales (weighbridges) at up to 16 Energy Queensland Centres by 30 June 2018. The number of locations is dependent on the whole of life cost and practicality of the location.
The vehicle axle weighing scales shall meet the following requirements as a minimum:
* A weigh scale device to weigh a single vehicle axle at a time;
* Ability to weigh the following vehicle types:
* Passenger vehicle derived i.e. utes;
* Trailers up to 4.5T;
* Heavy vehicles 4.5T and over;
* Heavy vehicles - 4x2, 4x4, 6x4, 6x6, 8x4; and
* Heavy trailers 4.5T and over –single, tandem, tri and quad axle.
* Ability to weigh single axles at a time, add weights for an axle group and add all axle weights, i.e.
* Front axle weight (single front axle);
* Front axle weight total (for tandem front axles, e.g. twin steer);
* Rear axle weight (single rear axle);
* Rear axle weight total (for tandem, tri and quad rear axles); and
* Vehicle total mass.
* Ability to alert driver/operator that permissible axle mass has been exceeded. This would indicate to a driver that weight must be re-distributed or reduced before driving off (Energy Queensland will assign maximum permissible axle mass limits per vehicle);
* Ability to enter a vehicle identifier, e.g. Registration or Fleet Number;
* Ability to data log and retain all historical records for a vehicle;
* Ability to integrate the data log to existing (or future) corporate systems, possible/available data transfer options e.g. Hard wired, wireless, Bluetooth etc;
* Reliable and accurate operation:
* Supplier to provide initial setup and calibration;
* +/- 10kg accuracy;
* Ability for suitably trained staff to self-calibrate the unit with a known test weight;
* Option for the supplier to provide calibration services
* An indication of maintenance requirements; and
* A minimum service life of 10 years.
