Tender Description

Trains Sydney (MTS) has responsibility, over a 15-year period, for the Operation of Sydney Metro Northwest (SMNW), the first fully-automated metro rail system in Australia. SMNW will operate between Cudgegong Road Station and Chatswood Station with first passenger services expected to commence mid-2019.

SMNW is a 36-kilometre, $8.3 billion project which opens in the first half of 2019 with a metro train every four minutes in the peak. It includes 13 stations (8 new metro stations, 5 upgraded stations) and 4,000 commuter car spaces, along with the Sydney Metro Train Facility (SMTF) consisting of Administration and Maintenance buildings. The rail line is a mixture of sky rail (viaduct) and below ground (cuttings and tunnels).

MTS is seeking Expressions of Interest (EOI) from competent companies, with required capability and experience in large scale projects, particularly in the rail industry, for the Provision of Maintenance Services for High Voltage Power Supply and Related Equipment for Sydney Metro North West.

Applications of Expressions of Interest will allow MTS to shortlist candidates for future tenders as well as keep interested parties informed of the progress of contract requirements and dates.
