Reservoir Demolition / Removal for Re-use
Tender ID: 347494
Tender Details
Tender Description
As part of the Googong Township (GTPL) development, two 'interim reservoirs' were placed into service in 2014. These reservoirs, manufactured by Rhino Tanks, are of bolted steel construction, 5m wall height and of 2.3ML capacity (approx. 24.3m diameter) and 1.2ML capacity (approx. 17.5m diameter) respectively. The reservoirs are on a concrete base with internal bladders, and are integrated with all supporting systems such as chemical dosing, instrumentation, telemetry, fencing, etc. The reservoirs were constructed by GTPL in 2012/13 at a cost of approximately $3m and are in working order currently supplying potable water to the Googong township.
Due to the construction of permanent infrastructure these two interim reservoirs will soon no longer be required for operations, and the site of their location will be required as part of the Googong Subdivision construction. GTPL therefore have a need to remove the reservoirs in a safe, professional, and timely manner.
To that end, and considering the potential for re-establishment and re-use of the reservoirs in another location, GTPL is calling for offers via this RFT for the removal and disposal of the interim reservoirs, on the basis of no charge by GTPL for the reservoirs and associated assets, and minimal cost to GTPL for the actual removal and disposal. GTPL is open to some negotiation via the offer process.
The scope of the Offer includes:
* The two reservoirs, with all associated access ladders, ancillaries, equipment etc. The reservoirs are bolted steel circular walls and roof with internal bladder on an insitu concrete base (reservoirs drained and isolated by others).
* All ancillaries, including instrumentation, flow meters, analysers, pipework, valves and documentation.
* Two chemical dosing systems complete (chemicals, sodium hypochlorine and sodium bisulphite, removed by others).
* Electrical power and control unit (MSB)
Site to be cleared by end of May 2018.
