The Lismore City Council formed on 1 April 1977 is a progressive and innovative organisation located in the heart of the beautiful Northern Rivers Region of NSW. Employing approximately 500 staff, Council provides services to over 44,000 residents and manages a budget of approximately $80 million per annum. Lismore is the commercial and cultural hub of the region. It provides many of the region's major services and its shopping and sporting facilities, hospitals and schools serve residents of much of the surrounding area.

Council is inviting submissions from suitably qualified and experienced contractors, owners, operators and contractors for the transportation of bulk quarry materials internally and externally.

The contract is for a period of three (3) years from engagement, with an option for an additional three (3) years.

The purpose of this tender is to engage a transporter/freight company to Transport Quarry Materials from Council to the Northern Rivers and North Coast NSW at a fixed rate for the contract period.

Council is encouraging smaller owner operators, or individual plant and equipment Contractors, to make submission.
