The Alpine Resorts Co-ordinating Council (ARCC) is a government statutory body that reports to the Minister of Environment, Land, Water and Planning and focuses on overseeing the strategic direction and sustainable growth for Victoria's six alpine resorts: Mt Baw Baw, Mt Hotham, Falls Creek, Mt Buller/Mt Stirling and Lake Mountain. Three key areas of priority for the ARCC include:
* Strategic positioning, oversight and advocacy
* Co-operation, co-ordination and partnership development
* Research
The preparation of a strategic plan for Victoria’s alpine resorts is a statutory requirement under the Alpine Resorts Management Act (S33A). Each strategic plan covers a period of 5 years and is used to inform decision making by stakeholders in the alpine resorts sector. The scope of the Alpine Resorts Strategic Plan is governed by the relevant provisions contained in Act.
The ARCC is seeking responses to this Invitation to Supply for the provision of consulting services to support the development of the Alpine Resorts Strategic Plan 2018 – responding to a changing climate.
A supplier (or partnership) is sought to deliver the following:
* design and deliver a stakeholder engagement process that allows stakeholders and partners to contribute to the development of a new alpine resorts strategic plan;
* lead stakeholders through a best practice climate change adaptation planning process to inform the development of the strategic plan;
* develop recommendations for inclusion in the strategic plan, and;
* develop substantive content for the plan.
The supplier will also participate in engagement activities with Traditional Owners that will be led by the ARCC.
