Tender Description
This notification is issued to announce the intentions of The Department of Family and Community Services (FACS) to undertake an open tender for the provision of the Casework Support Scheme (CSS) services over three years – previously provided through Non-Placement Support Scheme (NPSS). The CSS represents refinements and improvements to the current system – NPSS.
Through this procurement process, FACS seeks to establish a panel of approved service providers to deliver a suite of clearly defined, sustainable, quality and child safe, fee-for-services that support Case Workers to meet the needs of children and young people in FACS managed OOHC placements.
Children and young people in FACS managed out-of-home care need a range of services to meet their needs, beyond what is provided in their placement. These include services that facilitate connections and relationships through contact and respite and assistance through provision of mentoring and transportation services.
Support services that will be available under CSS play an important role in maintaining children and young people’s contact with family by creating foundation for restoration and in meeting the broader needs of children and young people.
New as well as existing suppliers can participate in the open tender.
