The aged care sector is in the midst of significant change. We are looking for an online digital learning solution targeted at aged care providers and consumers located all across Australia. The solution will complement the Agency’s current activities and allow us to expand the reach of our education program.

The Australian Aged Care Quality Agency will transition to the Aged Care Quality and Safety Commission (the Commission) on 1 January 2019. The Commission has legislated functions to protect and enhance the safety, health, well-being and quality of life of aged care consumers and to promote the provision of quality care and services. The Commission’s functions include the provision of education for the sector. This includes but is not limited to the provision of education and information programs relating to the applicable aged care quality standards for both aged care providers and consumers, quality assessment processes and education campaigns that specifically address sector wide risk and other emerging compliance or quality issues so that approved providers can improve their performance against the standards and ultimately improve outcomes for consumers.

The Agency/Commission is seeking a viable online digital learning solution that will enable it to meet, in contemporary and cost effective ways, its education responsibilities to external audiences including aged care service providers and aged care staff across metropolitan, regional and remote parts of Australia.

The online digital learning solution will need to allow for free and fee for service access.
