Construction of an architect (Terroir P/L) designed visitor Discovery Centre for Puffing Billy Railway within the historic Emerald Lake Park precinct.
The Centre features ~2200sqm FECA and a further 600sqm+ of open, undercover building with landscaped surrounds and links to carparking and pedestrian access. A further carparking development on immediately adjacent land may yet be included in the principal scope as a separable portion.
The Centre will be located adjacent to the existing rail corridor and the scope will include a new, dedicated platform. The Centre will feature information, retail, cafe, functions and interpretation spaces. Construction is targeted to commence in May 2019 and be completed before December 2020.
Invitees will be pre-qualified builders on the Construction Supplier Register.
