Northern Beaches Council is Planning to include Gross Pollutant Trap near the outlet of existing stormwater network around Manly Area. East Esplanade has been identified by Council as a high value area that would gain significant benefits from an upgrade to the existing stormwater infrastructure. The upgrade works will include the installation of a CDS unit within East Esplanade Reserve designed to capture pollution entering the receiving waterways.

A new Rocla CDS P0708 unit will be installed within East Esplanade Reserve, Manly opposite 2 Victoria Parade to reduce the amount of pollution entering the beach and waterway at Manly Cove following rainfall events. The CDS unit is designed to trap litter, grit, sediments and oils and is expected to reduce the amount of pollutants being discharged.
