The objectives of the project are to synthesise existing research identifying valid indicators of student impact and corresponding means of measurement. This includes recommendations in regards to required resources/consideration for their integration into a future possible classroom observation tool (herein referred to as a student impact resource).

The objectives relate to the following research questions:
1. What are valid indicators for student impact in the classroom?
2. Which valid indicators can be reliably measured and how?
3. Which of the measurement approaches identified can be automated; e.g. through audio or video analytics?
4. What resources/considerations would be required to measure the indicators at scale across Australia?
5. What are the recommendations as to which indicators should be included to validly and reliably measure student impact in the classroom?

The outcome will be a report on valid indicators of student impact. This will inform a potential future resource/tool to support Australian teachers to better understand their impact in the classroom.

The selected contractor will undertake all necessary steps related to the research synthesis of valid and measurable indicators of student impact in the classroom. The selected contractor will also undertake all necessary steps to provide context around the indicators as well as recommendations for their integration into a video-based observation tool. The main deliverable will be a report on the indicators identified and the recommendations.
