Bus services for Bankstown Line Temporary Transport Plan (BL TTP)

TfNSW invites existing Outer / Sydney Metro Bus Service Contract including SBSC (O/SMBSC) holders to submit proposals for the Bankstown Line Temporary Transport Plan.

Bus services will be provided to replace rail services on the Bankstown Line for various rail possessions. The first possession is scheduled from Tuesday 24 December 2019 to Monday 6 January 2020. There are three phases to the first possession.

Phase 1 commences on the evening of Tuesday 24 December 2019 (Christmas Eve). At this time Sydenham Station will be completely closed to all rail services, which impacts both the T3 Bankstown Line and the T4 Illawarra & South Coast Line.

Phase 2 commences on the morning of Friday 27 December 2019. At this point, Sydenham Station reopens to allow T4 Illawarra & South Coast rail services to run through towards the City. Four stations on the T3 Bankstown Line, from Canterbury to Marrickville, will remain closed.

Phase 3 is on Thursday 2 and Friday 3 January 2020, the only difference from Phase 2 being that a weekday rail timetable will be in operation.

Note: Possessions beyond this date are still being finalised.
