This procurement relates to the delivery of a GHG Analyser and peripherals as part of a broader programme to measure and monitor Green House Gases. Going forward we wish to expand our research capability in this area in support of our research on the source and fate of greenhouse gases. CarbonWatch-NZ aims to deliver a full carbon budget for New Zealand using a combination of atmospheric observations, modelling and bottom-up methods. CarbonWatch-NZ is an exemplar project for the WMO Integrated Global Greenhouse Gas Information System (IG3IS) program.
GNS is seeking initially, to purchase a GHG Analyser as part of this project. This equipment is intended to measure GHGs in the Auckland urban area for the 5-year life in the field as part of the CarbonWatch-NZ project, and will have further applications either in ongoing work in Auckland or for other carbon cycle applications in the future. The scope of the project may be expanded in the future and/or new CarbonWatch-NZ projects may require addition additional GHG Analyser and peripherals to be purchased.
