Metropolitan Fire and Emergency Services Board (MFB) employs approximately 2,400 employees, working in more than 50 locations across Victoria and provide services to Melbourne residents, workers and visitors, and safeguard assets and infrastructure worth billions of dollars. Our services cover the greater metropolitan district, an area of over 1,000 square kilometres.
The MFB:
* delivers fire and emergency management services
* drives systemic change to the built environment through reforms to building design, regulations and legislation
* invests in research
* develops prevention programs that improve community safety and build resilience.
MFB also provides specialist operational support across Australia and the Asia Pacific region as required. There are 47 stations spread through five districts which are split into two main regions.
Our structural arrangements are aligned to state government regional boundaries. This enables us to work cohesively with local, municipal, regional and state partners on planning, command, control and coordination of incidents under the State Emergency Management arrangements. It is also the platform for integrated emergency management planning at the local, municipal, regional and state level. Our regional model supports MFB’s role in the State Control Centre, with regional controllers from all agencies working together on emergencies in their areas of responsibility.
MFB is seeking responses to this tender for the Supply, Delivery & Service of Personal Protective Clothing (PPC), Uniform, Stationwear, and Specialised garments.
The MFB may, at its sole discretion, for the supply, delivery and service streams listed above appoint:
* A single provider that provides a total garment management solution (TGM).
* Two or more providers for any combination or bundling of the supply, delivery and services outlined in the tender or
* Individual providers for each supply, delivery and service stream
The intended term of this Contract is an initial period of five (5) years, with two (2) three (3) year options to extend the contract at MFB's sole discretion.
It is intended that the contract will commence on 1st January 2021.
In issuing this RFT, the MFB seeks to identify a Tenderer(s) who is/are;
* able to provide the Services required by the MFB in the manner set out in the Specifications,
* able to demonstrate a commitment and ability to working in collaboration with the MFB over the term of the Contract and to continuously seek improvement in value, efficiency and productivity in connection with the provision of the services and products on offer, and
* able to work with the MFB to continue to identify opportunities for improvement in the quality and level of both product and services provided to the MFB for the mutual benefit of both parties.
The Evaluation questions are contained within the response area, they are required to be completed ON LINE. Tenderers are to complete the Pre Qualifying stage first in order to access the RFT documentation and to submit a tender offer.
