The Maroochydore City Centre, Priority Development Area (PDA) comprises the redevelopment of a 53-hectare Council owned Site located in central Maroochydore. The development of this site as a new Maroochydore CBD will facilitate significant economic growth and deliver critical infrastructure to both Maroochydore and the broader Sunshine Coast Community.

SunCentral Maroochydore Pty Ltd has been established by The Sunshine Coast Council to oversee the design and delivery of the new Maroochydore City Centre.

Tenders are being sought from innovative consultants to provide construction superintendency and contract administration service for the upcoming stage of construction, which comprises the following:

1. Extension to Mundoo Boulevard, a median separated road (approx. 160m in length), including installation of all urban services (including AWCS) and landscaping;
2. Levelling and stabilising of adjacent Horton Park (Stage 1C(2) and future developable area (Stage 1B); and
3. Installtion of Stage 3B Automated Waste Collection System (AWCS) infrastructure which completes the connection form Stage 1A to the AWCS Collection Station.
Design for the above has been completed by Cardno/Tract/Vee Design in relation to items 1 and 2 and Lucid Consulting for Stage 3B AWCS.

The construction works are currently proposed to be tendered as follows:

1. A single contract to be tendered during July 2019 and with award expected in August 2019; and
2. Works are expected to take approximately 4-5months however this will only be confirmed once the construction works have been tendered and awarded.
