Kimbriki Environmental Enterprises Pty Ltd (KEE) is seeking suitably qualified Contractors to provide Landfill and Associated Services Plant Hire at the Kimbriki Resource Recovery Centre in Terrey Hills, Sydney.
KEE undertakes a number of waste management and resource recovery activities at the KRRC. One of the key activities conducted on-site at the KRRC is a non-putrescible landfill operation which requires extensive use of plant.
The landfill is licensed to receive General Waste (non-putrescible), VENM, asbestos and tyres although tyres are sent off for recycling and not landfilled.
Additional services include the construction of bund walls and other earthen structures, shredding of mattresses, maintenance of site roads, de-silting of dams and other general site maintenance works.
KEE proposes to enter into an Agreement with the successful Tenderer for up to 11 years, to provide these Services at the KRRC.
Overview of Services
The Services will require the Contractor to:
(i) Provide Plant, operators and related equipment for landfill and transfer station operations;
(ii) Provide Plant operators and related equipment for use on other areas of Kimbriki Resource Recovery Centre (KRRC) including onsite road maintenance;
(iii) Provide Plant, operators and related equipment to conduct resource recovery from the material received at the landfill drop off area and transfer station;
(iv) Recover and shred mattresses including the collection of metal for recycling;
(v) Undertake these and other earthmoving operations as directed by KEE; and
(vi) Maintain all Plant and Equipment to the standards required under the Agreement.
KEE is also seeking to enhance resource recovery from the landfill waste stream which has significant proportions of recyclable materials. Offers to supply additional plant and equipment to recover some or all of these are sought and KEE notes it will be willing to participate in trials during the initial stages of the Contract to refine the scale and financial arrangements required to sustain these additional activities.
