Queensland Airports Limited (QAL) is the owner and operator of Townsville Airport Pty Ltd (TAPL), in Queensland (the Airport), who is seeking Expressions of Interest from suitably qualified Contractors interested in being considered to tender for the Airport Sewer and Water Main Upgrade.

Townsville Airport will undergo a major upgrade, known as Project ALIVE, which is planned to commence in early to mid-2020. As part of the concept planning for Project ALIVE, the performance of the existing water supply system and dedicated fire system was investigated and identified to require upgrades to ensure that sufficient capacity is available for the proposed airport upgrade.

Simultaneously, QAL proposes to upgrade the sewer rising main which services the majority of the airport, to resolve some existing capacity problems and facilitate the future expansion of the terminal.

This is a Construct Only project with two separable portions being the sewer and water component under QAL's standard AS4000 amended Contract.
