Group Linen Service (GLS), on behalf of Queensland Health provides a linen hire service to seven Hospital and Health Services (HHS) across Queensland (Gold Coast, West Moreton, Metro South, Metro North, Sunshine Coast, Wide Bay and Children’s HHS).
Three production facilities based at Maryborough, the Princess Alexandra Hospital (PAH), Woolloongabba and The Prince Charles Hospital (TPCH) at Chermside and produce over 300 tonne of clean linen each week using specialised laundry equipment.
Group Linen Service (GLS) intends to replace one complete Continuous Batch Washer, Press, Shuttle and six (6) Dryer washing street at The Prince Charles Hospital (TPCH) campus laundry.
The Customer has issued this Invitation to Offer with the objectives of:
- Engaging a Supplier to supply, install and commission a new washing street at TPCH laundry.
- Procuring a replacement system that best utilises the existing space to provide maximum production capacity possible.
- Ensuring the new system shall integrate with the existing bag-rail system capacities.
- Purchasing the best quality, highest production capacity, most energy efficient system offered, ensuring the best value for money for the Customer.
- Ensuring minimum disruption to existing operations at all times.
