Invitation to Tender for the provision of review of existing, and development of an alternative, Cape York Fire Funding Methodology
Cape York NRM is seeking to engage an experienced and suitable consultant to review existing fire funding methodologies, identify opportunities and challenges of existing methodologies and propose an alternate long-term funding methodology for fire management focussed on east coast flowing catchments of Cape York Peninsula.
The project is one of a number of fire management and capacity building programs being carried out by Cape York NRM. The key objectives of this project are:
- Review existing potential funding sources for fire management on Cape York and evaluate the investment required vs likelihood of success
- Identify and develop a framework for new potential funding methodology options, e.g. Reef Credits, Reef modelling, culture and biodiversity credits
- Develop a detailed implementation plan for the development of a preferred long-term funding methodology for East Coast Cape York.
